Ever since
I can remember, I’ve loved art. From crayons and construction
paper in preschool, to gouache and airbrushing in college; I
never lost interest in my creative side.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to the suburbs with
my family when I was eight years old. When I was very young,
I remember my mother dropping my brother and I off at a craft
class through the Detroit Parks & Recreation with two quarters
in our pockets to cover the cost of supplies. I think that was
the starting point of my interest in art. I would look forward
to this class every week. Popsicle sticks and Elmer’s
glue were my favorite mediums at the time. I then moved up to
crayons and markers. I recall spending a couple of days before
every family function drawing pictures for every family member
in attendance. Once I learned how to spell their names out on
their handmade gifts, I was unstoppable.
From grade school to high school, my mediums became more sophisticated
with my education. Though I had interest in other subjects,
my love for art remained strong, thanks to the support of my
teachers and family. I received an Associates Degree in Graphic
& Commercial Art through Macomb Community College in 2002.
I have been working in the advertising field for the past two
years.
I have a love for abstract art and enjoy bringing this love
to life on canvas. I express myself through my paintings and
enjoy sharing them with others. Thank you for visiting my website
and special thanks to all of my friends and family who have
supported me through the years.
